I’ve not blogged in a while. It’s not that I’ve been too busy I’ve just not been that motivated. Well here goes nothing.

We just got back from vacation. Gulf shores was beautiful this time of year.

Work contines to challenge. Things are happening that I don’t understand.

Writing continues at am accelerated pace. I’ve got a couple of novels going and a couple of short stories. I really need to finish something and submit it for rejection.

That’s all for now. Hopefully I will get back into the groove with the postings.

Friday at last.  We’ve had a good week so far at Bible school.  Lot’s of kids, not a lot of adults.  Next year changes will have to be made to try and get more helpers.  I don’t know if we are going to have to shame people into helping but something will have to be done.

Work has been full this week.  It’s been one of those weeks where you felt good about the level of work without having it piled on top of you.

I’m still trying to decide whether I want to buy a ROKU box, and XBOX 360 or do nothing with the money.  Every time I think I have made a decision something comes along and makes me reconsider.

It’s Sunday now.  You didn’t realize that I could time travel.  We had a great singing at church last night.  We had 6 different groups/individuals sing last night.  Not counting us,  there was a lot of talent on that stage.

Now I’m getting ready for church.  It’s amazing how going to church can create such conflict and stress.  Everyone’s grumpy and tired.

Oh well, we’ll make it yet.

Until later.

We had 80 kids last night. That’s pretty awesome. We still need more workers.

Well the news of the week(in tech) would have to be the new IPhone announcement. The 3GS has all the Apple-ites drooling. I think it’s shameful, but only because I can’t upgrade my phone until January 2010.

Have a great evening and pray that we have a God-honoring Bible school the rest of the week.

Day 2 of VBS 2009 and it’s been a bit challenging for all involved.  We started off last night with just the right number of workers for the number of children.  The problem tonight is we have added children(Yay!!!) but have not added any workers.  It’s not fair to those that have given their time and energy to be saddled with more children then they can handle.  There has to be some point when the 80% of members that do 20% of the work, step up to the plate and help the 20% of members that do 80% of the work.

Oh well, I am thankful for the increase in children.  The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.

Well, I have been reminded that I’ve not posted since Tuesday.  Let’s see what is going on in my life.

I left work early yesterday to meet the roofer to look our leak.  Unfortunately, as I got closer and closer home, the sky grew darker and darker.  And then comes a deluge.  No roofer in the rain.  I can’t blame them, I won’t get up there on a bright sunny day.  I am thankful that the leak does not seem to be getting worse even with the rain we have gotten.

I’ve been contemplating buying an XBox 360.  I’m not a huge gamer, but with the games plus the ability to watch my Netflix streaming movies on my TV it’s tough to say no.  I say that, to say I have been contemplating our financial situation.  I hate debt, but I don’t hate it so much that I don’t have any.  I keep reading of people who pay off everything and I am jealous.  I think what I am going to try and start doing is this.  When I want something(like the XBox 360), i will save up twice as much money as that thing costs.  Then after saving twice as much, I will buy the item and take the leftover money and apply it to some debt(house/car/…) that I am paying off over time.  We’ll see how that works.  I don’t buy a lot of stuff for myself so it might not make a whole lot of difference.

Have a great weekend!!

Yes, this is the official MondayTuesday post.  I guess at this point I’m just making words up as i go.  But that’s ok.  I’m a professional writer wannabe.

Work today was about the same as last week, pretty slow, but promises to pick up tomorrow.

Im tired and my shoulder blade((or at least the muscles around it) hurt something terrible.

Good night.

I had a pretty good weekend.  Friday night I attended a wild game supper at Smokerise Baptist Church in the Hayden/Warrior area.  Lot’s of good food(deer, trout, frog, turkey,…) was had by all.

Saturday was pretty busy.  I went and worked out that morning.  That afternoon the quartet had practice for the following day’s singing at Maranatha.

The singing Sunday went great.  There is something very special about a singing in a small church.  The people there were very sweet.  I told the guys that if we never sang at any church bigger than Maranatha or Pinetucky it would be OK with me.  Sunday night it was back to church to finish off the day.

I guess the only bad thing about the weekend was the head cold.sinus thing I’ve developed.  It seems to be slacking off today however, so maybe I’m on the mend.
